I trusted Dr. Mast after researching surgeons for a long time and reading all about the procedure. His name came up two times. I had my first hip done in 2023 then three months later the other hip. It was a positive experience from the pre-op staff to the surgical team and I would encourage others to get the surgery. Having a skilled, confident, and experienced surgeon gave me hope that I could return to my sport again and that’s exactly what happened!

“I had a referral from a long-time friend who is an orthopedic doctor who said: “If you are 80 years old it wouldn’t matter as much who you go to for the surgery, but if you want to continue all the sports that you enjoy, you need to go to someone who specializes in active patients.” That person turned out to be Dr. Nicholas H. Mast. With that endorsement, Rob booked a consult with Dr. Mast and soon after had the first hip replacement.

“I could no longer stand up straight or hike without being all bent over. Then I wasn’t able to bend over anymore and walking became painful. Sleep was constantly interrupted … My husband and I became afraid that I would end up in a wheelchair..”
