My physical therapist asked me not to tell his other patient how well I was recovering because he was recovering from a posterior hip replacement …. He was probably 4 weeks “behind” me in his recovery!

I have had 2 back surgeries and a partial knee replacement.  The hip replacement was by far the easiest to recover from.  I went to a family wedding 3 weeks after the surgery ( not dancing though) and was back to the jobsites after about 6 weeks.

“Within a few weeks after my hip replacement, I was able to climb stairs without pain. As remarkable as this was, this was just the beginning.”

David is an active 60-year-old who lives on the peninsula.  He was having severe hip pain while riding his bike and walking – but following his hip replacement performed by Dr. Mast, he is now back to riding his bike for hundreds of miles a month.
